Uzick Spinners

Uzick Spinners have a rich history on the Bay of Quinte. They were originally crafted, tested, and perfected by John Uzick of Pennsylvania during his vacations there. In the mid-1980s, John entrusted their manufacturing to his longtime friend David Delcloo, affectionately known as "Superdad," who produced them in Kingston, Ontario, and Hay Bay for over 28 years. In 2024, Grandpa’s Tackle Box took over the production of these original proven walleye catchers, ensuring their legacy continues. We manufacture and rig them using the same methods as our predecessors, guaranteeing they remain a top choice whenever you reach for a lure.

​​​​​These are not your standard spinners.  The secret to their fish catching ability lies in their rigging and presentation.  Each lure is sold with rigging/trolling instructions in the packaging.

​Our Uzick spinners are sold either rigged or not rigged.  Rigged spinners come with 25 lb mono and trolling sinker already attached to the spinner.   ​​​​​​​Trolling sinkers are unique in that they are made with a crane swivel molded in at each end.  This in-line type sinker eliminates twisted or kinked lines when trolling.  Sinkers available in packages of different and/or the same weight.  Our sinkers weights are : ¼ oz, 3/8 oz, ½ oz, 5/8 oz, and 3/4 oz.
